![](/profile/get-photo.asp?memberid=89&type=profile&rnd=410) Croswell, Michigan | The market has been very volotile lately and not for the faint of heart. I have always been conservative in my approach to marketing. I rarely had a contract the wasn't above the market at time of delievery. My short fall was that it was always just a small part of my production and too many bushels wound up being sold at just average prices. A year ago I said no more and started being more aggressive and now have the scars to prove it. The prices I locked in were probably pretty good looking back over the last ten years but sure don't look good today. Around here we were told Toledo was sitting on two years worth of red wheat, whoever thought it could be $5+? I also have alot of $3 corn sold. So where to go from here? This is probably one of the few times in history where doing nothing was the best move. | |
