Not from "ethanol" for energy, but similar process. I would suspect it is slightly different process for fuel eth. vs. sour mash whiskey, but I don't know. I do like the product though. It will freeze, but only in the plumbing of the tanks, and not solid here. We only got into the single digits a few nights this year, and I was able to get it to gravity feed out of a 4000 gallon tank into a loader bucket, doubt it would have pumped.
