We use tubs that were once used for hard molasses.  They were 30 gallon barrels that someone cut in half and made two tubs out of.  They work fine.  I've never had trouble with cows tipping over mineral feeders.  Probably happens if you leave them empty too long, but then if your cows are out of mineral for a long time, you have bigger problems then an over turned mineral feeder.
