Northeast Louisiana | Meth is taking over small towns and rural areas the way crack took over the ghettos. Used to never worry about theft around our farm. But in the last few years, we've started having to lock things up to keep the methheads from stealing it. We've not had anything stolen yet, but some neighbors have.
They had to evacuate the little town of Bonita, LA a few years back because some meth maker broke the valve on a large Anhydrous Ammonia tank during the night. No people killed but a lot of folks lost their pets and duck dogs, as there was no time to get them.
Most people can tell you who makes and sells the stuff, don't know why the local cops can't arrest them. I think they just don't want the hassle of dealing with it.
