I don't care what color of planter you run, conditions are just too tough. You are almost asking your planter to go into asphalt and your planter will show the results of that for quite a while. If you must go on without waiting for a rain, I would do what Jim suggested and try to furrow out some crust. Most colors of planters cannot take highest down pressure settings and hard ground. Opener blades and bearings take most of the abuse. Crustbuster is the only one that has blades and bearings to withstand that kind of force. They use a cast iron hub with a dual bearing setup.
