Sioux County, IA | Kevin, we're seeing the same thing. We can have the tractor directly on top of the old stalks, where it needs to be, yet the planter will wander. Our decision is whether to live with that and make it work as best we can or go to a system where the planter is directly behind where the tractor is (i.e. mounted). I think the wandering is an inherent disadvantage of a drawn planter in this type of system. Some good info for us both in my post below, hope to get some more feedback yet. | |
