I don't compensate either product. I've sprayed glyphosate/atrazine for 2 yrs now on RRC & it works fine. If I use 32 oz of glyphosate alone, then I use same 32 oz of glyphosate & add 16-32 oz of atrazine.
I've not seen any problems, except for foaming of atrazine (4F) sometimes. But, that has nothing to do w/effectiveness.
