I have a landlord who had a mounted planter, his farm is nearly flat. My dad said he borrowed the planted one year to replant some corn on a rough field, when he went over a hill, the planter came out of the ground on one side. It was an 8 row. I think you need pretty level land to run a mounted planter but maybe not with the new ones. Might be something to think about.
