Thumb of Michigan
Saginaw County has reported threshold numbers of aphids late last week in a very isolated area. I scouted yesterday, found 1 per plant on a few plants. The common threshold numbers of 250/plant are very questionable to me. I spray when we reach maybe a 1/3 of that number depending on the weather and moisture conditions. The 250 number was developed for a plant well along in growth. Wonder what the threshold is on a soy plant with 2 tri-foliates?
