Our cattle would get ground feed & hay.
Back in the very late 1970's I cleaned out one side of the barn that had many tons of loose hay in it. I found a newspaper in it that was dated 1952, making that hay 25+ years old.
Cattle liked it fine, noticed no ill effects at all. This was not their only feed, tho.
Old Hay?
