Macon, IL | I haven't posted a pic in two weeks because it is like someone hit the pause button on the corn. It still has good color and is about 3ft tall-but just stopped growing. Leaves rolling during the day-but looks good early in the am. The applicator we were using had a problem with the left 6 rows not starting for about 100ft after we changed tanks, you can spot those areas a mile away so I know the roots have hit the nitrogen.
I don't have many crop years under my belt but this one sure is different.
Based on 04 my gut tells me we still have lots of potential but forecast being what it is I am afraid that is going to start dropping fast, but this still continues to amaze me.
One thing of note, I do have two 4 acre test strips of triple stack, and it sure does have better color than the rest of the corn. | |
