Subject: Hail on 1 foot corn How much can it take?

NE SD

Last night had 3+ inches and hailed hard. All leaves are mostly still on plant but stripped very badly. The main stalk is still there and looks ok but the corn looks terrible at first glance. How much will it recover any idea?
