Marestail is very common in no till. I never knew what it was until we started dabbling with no till back in the mid eighties. Within two years it was the number one pest preplant. I'm in MN, but I doubt weed trends are a whole lot different where you're at. Seems like the Harness and Surpass type products help control that along with tillage in min till or conventional till operations.
