Subject: Question on corn leaf rolling?

Two varieties. One is Dekalb 61-66 and the other Dekalb 63-39. Split with a 16 row planter. The 61-66 is rolling three times as bad as the 39 but the 66 is a darker green and the 39 is yellowish. Its at the V6-V7 stage. Is the 61-66 really suffering more, or since the corn is rolling so much harder is it actually doing a better job of conserving water and protecting the plant than the 63-39? Any pro's on corn rolling around here. Were not use to this over in Ohio its probably been 5 years since corn rolled around here. Thanks
