We have had less than 1" of rain in the last 6 weeks.  We are over 17" below normal for the year.  This is after drought last year.  Several neighbors are saying that if it started raining today and we have good rain the rest of the season, corn will struggle to make 50 bushel.  If we don't get rain in the next week, a lot of corn around here will probably not see a combine.  We are not even trying to plant double crop beans.  There is no way to get them in the ground.  You have to dig 8-10" to find any soil moisture at all.
