Brazilton KS | If you are going to grow your own crop the second time around there is no problem. If you think you can collect a claim on a corn crop and then plant another crop on the same land and try to insure it too, sorry but they figured that trick out a number of years ago.
If you don't want to replant the corn you can leave the stand you have and it is insured. You can have the corn adjusted and take what they say as a yield and plant to a non-insured crop and there is no problem. You can leave strips to verify yield and plant to a non-insured crop and there is no problem. The problem comes when you expect them to expose themselves to two losses on the same land in one year. They learned about that the hard way ten years ago. | |
