Bardstown,KY | Here are some pictures I took today while we were spraying the corn over top. The first pictures are my notill corn on corn that I tried this year for the first time. The other corn pictures are behind soybeans and the soybean pictures are behind corn. All the ground had a aerway ran over it right before planting and in the corn behind corn the aerway pulled all the stalks out of the ground by the roots (alot of fluff), I have dawn row cleaners and they worked great in all these stalks that I had to deal with.In some spots the stalks are maybe 4 inches deep between the rows and there is alot of moisture under them and I have a picture that shows that . This corn was planted on MAY 12 and the beans on the 14th, it rained 3 tenths the night I planted the beans and had 2 tenths 2 days ago , so I think it looks pretty good for no more rain then it has had. The last pictures are of the tobacco patchs the the man I rent the land from has. One patch was set while I was planting the corn and the other has been set for a week. This is my first year with the 15in soybeans with the kinze planter overall I'm happy with the stand but there is some spots where the beans came up later and are just out of the ground good and hard to see. We need a rain bad ,this farm isn't hurting to bad but have some others that need a drink.
