Subject: Fix for Teejet Ball valves tripping internal reset

Nwmo
Teejet called me the other day and it seems they have come up with a fix for the teejet ball valve tripping its internal fuse while using Auto boom or Auto swath.

Problem: Insight/autoswath was turning valve off/on very fast on certain occasions when it was right on the edge of turning on/off from previous coverage pass. The motor head would pull up to 3 times the amount of amperage it was designed for. Therefor tripping the internal fuse.

The Solution was to place a resistor mounted on a large heatsink in line between the motor head and insight module.

Teejet also said they were going to talk to Agleader as it seems they have no built in timer or delay that keeps the autoswath feature from switching on/off constantly. They would need a .8 second delay so the motor had time to reach fully closed or open. I geuss midtech has had this in there boom control hardware from the get go.

In reality its actually the Insight causing the problem but it sounds like both companies are going to implement fixes so it shouldn't happen anymore.
