Subject: Corn silage, freshness and keep question

Eastern Half of Kansas
I am going to start feeding my backgrounding calves corn silage. I am thinking I want to load silage on the kelly ryan in the evenings because I feed the cows in the evenings(for daytime calving). The cows silage comes straight out of the silo and into the bunk. Would it be fine to have the silage loaded from 5pm and then feed in the morning? Freshness? Mold or Bacteria? I know dairymen who mix feed once per day in the morning then feed the other half in the afternoon. Probably dump rolled corn and ddg in the kelly ryan in the morning but may put in the night before when loading silage. TIA
