That's the way the fertilizer company I buy from had it set up. It uses one coulter per row and I think it has one in the tire track row for the row that is outside the tire. The next middle over only had room for one coulter because of where the boom folds. I actually like to run two every other middle and not have one runing in the traffic middles.
