waaaay east central Colorado
I had it done around 4 years ago. It was a singularly unique experience. I had my procedure done in the afternoon, the next morning I was reading newspapers in the next county. It's amazing to be able to wake up and see without fumbling the contacts in. I still experience some "halo's", but no more than before the procedure. I'm still very sensitive to daylight, gives me a headache, but sunglasses aren't a bad thing. My eyes now are more sensitive to dust than when I had contacts, which is weird (maybe I'm just getting old?). I think it cost me around $3000 for both eyes, best money I ever spent.

Before they start, make them explain what you'll be experiencing. They didn't fill me in on anything, and when they put the suction cup over the eye they're working on, it looks like you're blacking out. Very disturbing if you're not prepared.
