East Prairie, MO | There are so many needy children in THIS country, of many races, I would sure be looking to do it here before bringing someone from overseas. I know of several successful adoption stories in my area. It may be easier to cross the pond but it just seems strange to me I guess. Just to give you an idea of my overall thinking this is coming from a guy that doesn't think our government should play world policeman and primary foreign disaster relief roles. (haiti, pakistan you know what I mean) There's a local family that has 5 bio kids and has been going around doing fundraisers to adopt a Chinese toddler and that just burns me up, they want us to help them pay for it? At the very least if they insist on doing it that way they should fund it themselves. | |
