We have done the checks over the years. That's why we dropped our population in soybeans.

What works for you doesn't neccesarily work for me & vice versa. Agreed, we each need to do our own testing & do what works best in our own situtaion.

Sort of like corn. I have ground that I'm not afraid to plant 35-36,000 in 30" rows but I also have other soil types that 28-30k is more than enough.
