I also set my planter up this year to do fertilizer and used the low profile keetons and had no problems at all. The only thing that I would have to do is clean the holes in the keetons after I planted some corn without starter, I have a kinze so it was easy to clean the tube with it up in the air. I don't know if the fertilizer will pay very big in the end but right now we have the best looking crop of corn we have ever had at this stage but water is really becoming a major issue and the next real chance of rain is another week away.
