| My opinion? All that in one pass is too much salt in the row. Look at the salt indexes of Pottasium chloride and Urea. There are a couple ways I've seen this done. Put on the P&K with the striptill bar, and N with the planter, or, broadcast the K, and put on N and P with the striptill bar or planter, which is what we do. I've been happy with it so far. But you're still handling a lot of material. I suppose a third option is to put down all P&K and partial N in the strip, and then go back and sidedress N. Done that too. It's my personal favorite, but the timeliness of getting the sidedressing done is a problem. | |
