These converters are not real good for this.
I wouldn't trust them. With some systems an interrupted firmware update will render the system unusable and it would have to be sent back to the manufacturer.
We gave up on them for serious coms years ago.
Manufacturers are starting to make loaders that use native USB. This will become more common.
