Thanks for posting that. I would like to see the test conducted over a longer period of time, but your data indicates good accuracy on the R100. Is the baseline unit that much cheaper than a RTK base unit? The Baseline would appear to have the same drawbacks as RTK does (range, radios, movement and setup time, marked locations, etc). RTK does give better accuracy than the Baseline. Is the cost difference enough to justify putting up with the base station headaches without the RTK accuracy? Or, will the L2 satellite corrections give good enough accuracy without dealing with the base station headaches? I guess the question that I am asking would be this. Is there a market for another level of accuracy between RTK and Omnistar HP/SF2? |
