Quincy, IL
Thanks again for advice; I actually did back off NH3 30 units pre-plant leaving "room" for CoRoN. I think 70% uptake of NH3 applied is the best we get and don't have a lot of faith in the soil applied liquid? The thing I hate about trials like this is finding out I either pissed away 12-14 bucks an acre if the CoRoN does nothing or I pissed away bushels by not applying to the whole field if its as good as they claim. (Just one of the risks of farming I know) Am I correct by applying @ V6 stage? There's a fine line when applying along with round-up in that I want the corn close to canopy to soak up the most CoRoN as possible but also need space for good chemical coverage to the weeds. If I realize significant benefits this year with CoRoN my plan for next year will be put down a full rate of a "top shelf" herbicide when corn is spiking thru and not need roundup pass then apply CoRoN with Headline right before tassle w/plane.
