| There is no first cutting here to speak of. Here being central MO. Cut 30 acres and got 37 3X3x7 square bales. Should have been 6 times that, at least. A lot of Alfalfa has been torn up, I tore up 20 acres yesterday, and interseeded Teff in another 15. Talked to another producer up near Moberly, MO, and he said he got 261 small squares off of 29 acres. Unless these stands liven up, and the weather straightens up, I'd think good Alfalfa will be like gold later on. | |
