I split the middles on corn after corn but yes it would ball up.
Anyone who can raise 200 bu corn with an antique planter means there is more involved than the antiques!
I would rather have the two piece tail piece but have learned how to make this one work.
Got to show you rows with this thing against a new 8500 planter side by side. No comparison, other owner is confused.
I don't have behind pictures but will try to get them, but we are done for this year unless I help some neighbors plant their wet fields.
