Thanks for your reply. I was not concerned about spinner speed as they are PTO driven & I would run them full speed. Just varying the belt was what I need educated about.
I was hoping to use my farm works program and use an ipaq as the controller. Is this the correct thinking, or do I have other items to consider between it & the hyd motor? This would be rigged to GPS. As far as tractors go I would be using either an IH856 or early 7130 magnum with closed centers.

For belt speed, what sort of sensor would that be? A magnet/sprocket combo?
