Well, you boys are going to think I'm crazy, but I've been using #3 rock in these places, just straddle them with the dump truck, then shape them like you want with a box blade. I've done this on my 2 farms after watching my neighbor do this for several years, this really holds well where it is hard to get a grass waterway established. The rock allow the water to filter through, but stops the soil loss and erosion. I just pick up the planter or drill when crossing them.
