Quincy, IL | I have a field of RR corn and will be making final pass with Round-up soon. The corn is in V5-V6 stage for the most part which is ideal timing (According to Helena) for CoRoN. I put down a little less NH3 this spring anticipating on using the foliar-applied N for a later season boost. Does anyone have experience with this on corn at this stage? It seems expensive ($6/Gallon & recommended @ 3 gallon per acre) so I'm a little sceptical of ROI especially after reading about its results on wheat. I put down 150 units NH3, 30 units liquid w/ herbicide + 150-200 # of DAP was spread early spring so I have ~ 200 units out there, this field is flat & black and capable of 200 + if it would ever rain. Suggestions would be appreciated. | |
