Be really careful when you pull it out of the barn if it has been smoking. The exposure to the outside air is known to spontaneously combust bales that have experienced extreme heating. I would probably have the fire dept. or at least a ready supply of water before removing it from the barn. Best of luck to you, seems like it is going to be a pretty interesting year.
