ECIL | Yes, we had it in East Central IL. Like you say, it looks like herbicide or anhydrous burn in the low ground. Mainly showed up next to grass areas, where the first couple of rows looked pretty well dead. They say it will grow out of it, but the really badly damaged plants, that are brown from top to bottom ,may never be productive. Some are saying to mow the dead tops off the damaged corn plant so as to help it recover from the damage faster. | |
