a) what kind of corn yields were you raising at that time with your "wheel track to wheel track" manure spreading?

b) what ever happened to the layer operation? I presume it is no longer in business?  (but maybe it is, and was upgraded?

Yeah I know Agway went out-of-business.  Did layer operation go out at the same time? before? or spun off into??

c) did you ever see problems with that kind of manure spreading?

I honestly don't recall what our yields were at the time. What I do remember is that our Agway seed consistently ran 10-12 bushel per acre behind the pioneer seed. LOL

The layer operation just couldn't sustain itself and went under well before Agway did.

The only problem we were consistently warned about was the potential for copper buildup in the soil. There was no problem at the time I left and as far as I know none when they sold the farm.
