Wisconsin DNR has been denying cougar sightings forever. There have been way too many sightings and animal attacks lately, however, and maybe they will admit it someday. There was an attack last spring of some beef cattle in south central WI. A horse was found near Madison with it's throat chewed last week and radio report today said DNR doesn't think it was a cougar attack. Twenty six years ago I had a cougar cross in front of my truck just over a mile from my home. I was traveling on a military reservation at the time. Joe
