Kansas
I've got every phone still I've owned since 1994. That includes 2 bag phones. Let me tell you, The aluminum case that holds the phones brains in those bag phones works real nice to tin snip into pieces for projects. I only discovered that after an insurance claim and I got to keep the old one. The dozer just smashed the aluminum flat. Didn't crinkle it.

I had so much trouble with the old Startac phone I wouldn't allow someone to use that pile of junk for a live saving moment.

Others have cracked screens or blown speakers.

Every phone laying in that box is kaput in one manner or another. I'm not great to just go get another phone when the contract expires. I wait till they are shot.

I'm still waiting for an outlet that will pay a few bucks for the whole box. Give it time. Look where catalytic converters are today. ;-)
