Monroe Oregon
I do sell and use Autofarm. Just installed a Autofarm A5 on a JD 6420 that was AT ready. The grower demo ed the JD RTK last fall and he decided to go with the A5 without a demo. They are planting row and field crops with this tractor both back and forth and round and round. His comments on the difference between the two are as fallows. The Autofarm came on line better, he likes that you can auto steer in reverse, can auto steer below 0.3 mph for transplanting, owns his own base station (no subscription fees), easier for the operator to use, likes that you can setup driver and supervisor settings so the driver can't change things on his own, and was cheaper. There are lots of difference between many different systems out there. One advantage that I believe is that Autofarm uses a roof array for their attennas. This give you the best pitch yaw in the bussiness. If you don't need sub inch reapetable than look hard @ the Rightrac. It will give a 2" pass to pass and is great for the money around $15,000. Don't know where you are, but would be willing to help direct you in the right way.
