Don't mess around with a steering wheel outfit with the kind of returns you're going to be getting. Either JD SF2 or Omnistar plumbed into a steering valve. If you're wanting to record operations you'd best go with GS2 from Deere or Trimble auto pilot with an Agleader Insight monitor. Using the steering wheel driver will take your accuracy from that 2-4" level back out to 6" or so. Tractor has to "feel" for where it's turning to so it will have to do some hunting, especially when turning around. This affects both the Deere ATU and the Easy Steer. I can't recommend any dealers without knowing what state you're located in. Probably rather deal with someone half ways close? We went from the Deere ATU to the integrated steering on our 9400 four wheel drive this year. It has payed for itself several times over the last few days replanting corn.
Do you have experience with the EZ-Steer? Can you back up your blanket statement about all assisted steering products not being able to achieve >6" pass-to-pass accuracy?
