Through the years, we've always entered the approx tank amount in the Volume before starting. We check the sight gauge when hooking up, then take the sight gauge % reading times 61# & enter that # in the 440. Now, you no longer have to remember how full the tank was when starting. Our full tanks come anywhere from 80-90% depending on conditions. When you get towards the end of the tank, you can glance at the VOLUME & decide if you have enough material for another round or not. The Insight requires (I guess, unless someone shows me otherwise) that you enter the GALLONS in the tank, even though you do not use the GALLON value anywhere else in the setup. I don't understand why they just don't allow you to enter the # of lbs of N in the tank...just like we've been doing for many years. Not complaining about the Insight...it's nice. But-it does have that one quirk....in our opinion. |
