| I am curious as to where do these people think compressed air comes from? You can't just "make" compressed air without using energy.
I have always thought it would be somewhat pracitical to have an air compressor/motor with a storage tank on a commuter car, like these smart cars and such. Use the compressor to help slow down than use the stored compressed air to help get going again. Pretty much the same thing as regenerative braking, but wth air instead of electrons.
