As to the medivacs and that dang cross,, I totally disagree with the Army's policy of not allowing Medivac's to be able to protect themselves. A soldier needs a medivac in a firefight so a completely unarmed helicopter is supposed to go in with a red cross on the doors which is supposed to protect the Crew from being shot at ??
I understand the geneva conventions etc.. "rules of the game" and all that jazz but it doesn't mean much when the enemy has no honor and don't play by the international rules.
Fortunately, the US Airforce is different in that respect they don't believe in red paint for protection. When the Pedro's are going in to saving a life or lives they are fully capable of killing anybody dead who gets in their way.
