When I did my DOT audit ( when you apply for a DOT # they come out and visit, show you what you need to do) the state patrolman said we need a health card, dot #, IFTA fuel tax for crossing state line, don't need a class A license here for farm use, as long as you stay within those 100 miles. He said I didn't need to carry hours log with me, if I was stopped just tell them you keep them at the home office, just have to be able to produce them within 24 hours or so. And you need daily POST trip inspection form. Supposed to be post trip always.... If you haul for others and past those miles then you have to have CDL, random drug testing etc.. | |
