| I remember dad talking about how he & a relative dug the basement under his ouse using a slip scoop & horse. I don't know what happened to the old scoop but I do remember my uncle using itusing it to dig out a watering hole in the creek for the cattle. That time he used a long cable & a tractor up on the bank. As Ron said, it looked a lot like a wheelbarrow box with handles on the back. I was 10 or so at the time & he let me try working it but I didn't have the strength or know how so I ran the tractor, a '41 H with Schartz cable loader. | |
