I've camped in the mountains of Colorado for weeks on end. Always remember the word "COLD" C= Clean, O=Overheat L=Layers D=Dry.... Clean clothing next to your skin breathes better, do not get overheated and sweaty, wear multiple layers and shed them when necessary, stay dry. Following this simple format will go a long way to adding enjoyment to your camping. I also always pack dryer lint for firestarting and it is very light for packing in a ziplock baggy...also a locator beacon and reflective mirror with the aiming hole. It's best to not fool with the four P's when heading into the winter woods.....P#ss Poor Prior Planning leads to failure.
