Holly Island, AR | Here's some old pics i've scanned while continuing my preservation project of my grandparents old family photos. The good farm pics are in a box i've yet to go through. But found a few going though some family albums, maybe some of these might bring back some memories. From Handpicking cotton in the 40's, to a stick driven IH combine. And my grandfather first Diesel tractor. The Last pic is from 1977, the cotton crop was good that year, and my grandfather supposedly had a field that would an awesome yeild even by today's standards. He was a very modest man, not wanting any attention, but the local gin sent the newspaper out and caught him while he was picking this field, he reluctanly let them take his picture for the front of the paper that week. I miss him so much, we lost him 3 years ago, best man i've ever known.
