Rivers, MB | I think the key to engagement ring discussions is the reminder that the cut and clarity of a diamond will not ensure that the marriage will work out. Too many young guys get sucked into something that really isn't all that important. If the girl is all about what her friends will think about the ring or what status that gives her, then go find another girl. It is unfortunate that so much time and money is spent on the wedding day planning and so little time spent on marriage preparations.
