Owens Cross Roads, AL | It depends on the state, I drive a bus in Alabama. Just a few years ago Alabama made all lanes stop for a bus, now if there is a divided median between the lanes the opposite lane does not stop. We are not allowed to let a child off to the left if there is more than one lane. On busy two lane roads we try to let them off on the right side of the bus, even if it requires us to back track some. The students safety comes first. Wilson | |
