| Hard to say if a 4 year old is ready for a trip like that. I think big vacations like that, unless you can take one every year, you should wait maybe a bit longer. Do a test, both you and your spouse think back, do you have any vivid memories from trips from when you were young. How old were you? You would like your children to be able to remember special trips?
My first, or youngest memory from a trip was one my mom took my sister and I to Chicago by her sister. I am not even sure how old I was, under 5 for sure, but remember going to an amusement park and being put on this swing alone and I screamed so loud they had to stop the ride early. | |
